What We Do

Who do we help?

Despite our name, we rescue far more than just sheep. We currently have over 200 animals living at the sanctuary; sheep, pigs, horses, alpaca, chickens, and turkeys.

Our mission is to help animals of all shapes and sizes, and we strive never to turn any animal away.

How do we help?

When an animal arrives at the sanctuary, we complete a thorough assessment to determine their health and wellbeing needs. Whether they require retraining, rehabilitation, or emergency veterinary care, we are committed to providing anything necessary to help each animal recover and thrive.

We aim to rehome as many animals as possible, placing them in safe and appropriate homes that suit their species. However, not all animals are able to be re-homed and, for many, the sanctuary will be their permanent home, where they will be cared for for the rest of their lives.

Where do they come from?

Our animals come from a variety of challenging circumstances. Most have been rescued directly from farms, where they faced severe cruelty and would have been slaughtered. Others, including our horses, were surrendered by families for a variety of personal reasons.
